The Idaho Gem Club, Inc. was organized to promote mutual, educational and scientific interest and benefits of its members and the general public. To promote the interests of its members and the general public in mineralogy, geology, gemology and the art of lapidary science.

The Idaho Gem Club, Inc. (IGC) is a nonprofit organization, founded February 10th 1939 . (IGC) is affiliated with the American Federation of Mineralogical Societies (AFMS), and the Northwest Federation of Mineralogical Societies (NFMS).

Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm at the Maple Grove Grange Hall , 11692 W. Presidents Dr . Executive Board meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm at the same location as the general meetings , all members are invited to attend. (IGC) was organized to promote education, encourage lectures and demonstrations in the various branches of gathering, cutting polishing, displaying, and uses of precious and semi-precious stones, fossils, petrified woods, and minerals. (IGC) is a Non-profit organization under Section #501(C-3) of the IRS.
